How to order it

- Order it online. Search your LLC in the Kansas portal, request the certificate, and download it. Link in the table above.
- Pay the $10 fee. Pay by card at checkout. A small card surcharge usually applies.
- Use it inside the recipient's window. The certificate has no state expiration, but banks and other states usually want one dated within the last 30 to 90 days. Order it close to when you need it.

Important to know about Kansas
- The Kansas LLC Annual Report ($50 online / $55 paper) is due by the 15th day of the 4th month after the tax year closes (typically April 15 for calendar-year LLCs). Missing it removes the LLC from good standing.
- A separate Tax Clearance Certificate from the Kansas Department of Revenue (free) is required by some third parties. This is different from the SOS Certificate of Good Standing.
- Solicitations offering Kansas Certificate of Good Standing services for $60+ circulate by mail. Always $10-15 direct from the SOS.
