- Foreign LLCs cannot register online. Kansas accepts the foreign application on paper only, at $90 under the fee schedule effective February 27, 2026. Several national guides still publish the previous $165 figure.

- Conducting an isolated transaction completed within 30 days that is not one of a series of similar transactions
- Transacting business in interstate commerce
