Important to know about Indiana

  • Indiana LLCs file a Business Entity Report biennially (every 2 years), not annually: $31 online or $50 mail. This is the most common tripwire for good standing because owners forget there is any filing at all in "off" years.
  • The Certificate of Existence confirms Secretary of State records only; it does not confirm Department of Revenue tax status. The DOR's Certificate of Clearance is a reinstatement document (Affidavit AD-19 and ROC-1, about four weeks), not something a third party can order to check you.
